So it is almost seven months into Cataclysm, which means that one of the biggest booming items has been around for seven months. Mysterious Fortune Card's have created some fortunes for some, and a lot of loss for others. So seeing them from this point today can we call them still a success today?
I can say, without a doubt that they still sell. Although the price of each card may have gone down, the price for herbs have plummeted. A stack of cinderbloom on my server (Kel'Thuzad-H) costs less than 21 gold a stack. This leads us with a minimum price you can post for each card is 4.2G. The Cards are going for 9g each in the AH, so that is a 25g profit for each stack of herbs I buy.
But, the old idea of having to bark to sell your cards still lingers on to this day. I had to re-set up macro's so I can spare my fingers. After an hour of barking in trade I sold well 50+ cards, not what it used to be but still some profit. Also having to deal with people who undercut you ONLY when you bark doesn't help. Have you tried Mysterious Fortune Cards lately?
P.S If you want to know my most successful bark, Cold said it on Auction House Junkies.

Fluzzarn's First Advice
Okay, first post. Time to set the mood for the rest of the blog. What Should I talk about? Might as well talk about advice, since this is what most of these blogs talk about. You may have seen this being said everywhere, one of the best ways to make gold is to find a niche market and monopolize it. When I first started making gold I followed that advice and it only ended in ruin. Story time folks:
Back when I was a wee gold maker, astounded by the success of just using the dealfinder in auctioneer and not using my professions to the fullest extent. I noticed something about my servers AH, there seemed to be a large amount of thorium bars for dirt cheap. Thinking that I was the supreme auctioneer of my server, I decided to buy THEM ALL. I had around 3k thorium bars, and this was during the 3.2 days. Not doing any research onto what they were used for I just relisted them at insane markup to 100g a stack. Guess what happened next? I can't get rid of the things. I invested all my money into the thorium market and never made my money back.
Story time over. You may ask, what is the moral to the story? Well, there are many different many ways it could be interpreted. You got to do research on anything you invest into on the AH. Don't put all your eggs into one market. Make sure you invest in something that sells. That is what I got out of that ordeal, and now I'm swimming in all the gold I need. Did you ever make a gold making blunder?
